Today, I'll share my ideas about making b'day of your little ones special, as special as it could get without needing to spend a fortune.
If you are a creative person, there are number of things that you could do to add to the fun of b'day party, right from the preparation of invitations. Here are ideas for you to think and bring your creative genius out.
- Party Theme - Select a theme for the b'day. If its a boy, theme could be a super hero, space mission, detective mission, jungle safari, wet splash (messy but lot of fun), F1 racing party, rock star music band, Arabic desert treasure hunt, Beach party etc. If its a girl, theme could be super girls like power puff girls, barbie/Cinderella, flower garden, fashion show, butterfly park, princess party, mermaid/sea life party etc.
- Party Invitation - Once you select the theme, start with invitation planning. According to the theme, design your invitation cards. Involve your child in the preparation of
the cards so that he or she will feel absolutely proud of it when you take him/her to distribute the cards to your guests. You can make simple but very lovely invitation cards. - Party Cake Selection - Cake is a big ticket item for the theme and helps spicing up the fun in great way. For your b'day theme, select a good decoration for the cake. If you have a good bakery around your place who can provide a custom decorated cake, then think of some 3-D decoration of the cake. For example, for space theme, you can have spaceship or rocket shaped cake. Kids are just thrilled about it.
- Return Gift planning - return gifts are what every kid now days look forward to with lot of excitement. If you are giving the gifts that are as per the theme including the gift wrappers or gift bags, gift tags etc, kids will remember that for very long. Its in general is a good practice to select the gift as per the ages of the guest kids and keep their gift tag with their names ready beforehand. As per the return gift, to make it more exciting, you can also give some sort of party certificate (for example, space mission certificate) where kids can paste their photos. - Party Games Planning - any theme party is incomplete without having games of that themes. Select 3-4 games that you think will fit into the range of age group of guest kids. You can scane internet forums for kid games and you will find plenty that you can customize to suit the theme. Those games are best where not only kids but their parents also can participate.
- Party Music Planning - get the music scores already selected and CD/digital collection prepared for the party. You can have different type of music scores for part start, during party games and then closing part of the party.
